Happy 4th of July!
Holy cow! Where do I begin? What a fun, and FULL 4th of July holiday weekend! Sunday after church...we headed for the hills! Grandpa and Grandma worked super hard for 2 days straight to make this all possible for the grandkids and we couldn't be MORE grateful! We headed to Idaho City with all of our gear including the kids' bikes! Grandma...true to form...found something fun and totally cool to decorate them and make noise with. The kids LOVED it!

Abryn had so much space, he was even trying a few new tricks!
Our cousins came up, and Amiah and Jack decided they were best buddies all weekend!
We also gathered a few logs so we could have a campfire. Good thing Daddy isn't a little guy. :)
Grandma made her homemade waffle cones! YUM-O!!

We had a full first afternoon and evening, and the kids were ready to crash...didn't take Missy long, and she was out. We loved sleeping in our big tent for the first time! And we even got some REAL sleep!
Pretty sure Abryn was faking it. Lol..
After the small people were down, the grown ups spent a little time around the fire just visiting. Lovely! We also tried to figure out some constellations. Yeah, you're seeing it right...Andrew has an app for that!
The next morning came early..(maybe a little too early for poor Grandma..)
And we made a HUGE BATCH of Chunky Monkey pancakes. Delicious...
Then it was off to the races again! We loaded up the WHOLE CREW...and went to the silly little parade. Where, of course, our children collected more candy than ever necessary for one group of small children! Thankfully, Grandpa brought this umbrella for everyone to huddle under, because it was a hot one!
Right after the walk home, we quickly suited up for some yard and water fun! What a nice way to cool off. It felt GREAT! The jump-o-lene was pretty stinkin' fun too!
That was followed by naps, lunch, and some special crafting where they made these awesome 4th of July spinners...which they LOVED!! (I quickly stuck these two pictures together so you could see the living room in it's entirety! Not a super photoshop job, but that's right... all 3 men sleeping.)
We ended the night with tattos, s'mores, fireworks, and best of all, a KILLER meal.
What a FUN, exhausting, weekend! We loved it. Thanks again Grandpa and Grandma for all of your hard work....

I think I saw that umbrella at the parade! We loved it! Idaho City really has the small town thing down! Kids loved getting otter pops from that one car, and stuffed animals! A great time!
