Originally when we got our tax returns, we were just SURE that we were going to actually go on a family vacation this year. Well...responsibility strikes again...we paid off debt instead. (Insert your own expletive here.) We did decide however that we were going to plan one amazing night for the family instead. So, with tickets we bought a month and a half ago, we went out to the Monster Truck show at the Idaho Center. Awesome! The loud was a bit of a challenge, so we splurged and got the kids their own pair of official Monster Truck headphones. They were pretty cool! After we got the sound taken care of, and weren't playing with silly ear plugs anymore, we actually enjoyed it. Everyone got their own candy, and buckled in for the ride. Abryn only sat in total fear, terrified to tears, only half of the time. Other than that, and 3 completely exhausted children, the night was a blast!! I want to go again! (Not a good idea, by the way, to keep your kids up 4 hours past their bedtime when it's daylight savings weekend, and you have 9am church. Ouch!)

Now that's cool! And I like the ring of "Tax Return Night" - you should be proud you used most of it to pay off debt - it feels SO good!
I would never have known your kids were suffering from serious sleep deprivation - they were so well-behaved at church! We tricked our kids into going to bed half an hour early and they were still little stinkers in the morning1
