One of my favorite, and at the same time sometimes least-favorite things about Austin is, his love for things. He loves things...garbage mostly...and can create things out of anything. He made a robot out of a collection of boxes he saved up. He glued them all together with his Dad. He has collected those brown pod things that fall from trees, and is diligently peeling each little seed out of the pods so he can plant them. He has big visions of new trees come this spring. He can also make a collection out of ANYTHING and loves containers, and organizing things. He is entirely a different breed than that of his older brother. He has toilet paper roll collections, lid collections, and pop tab collections...just to name a few. But in all fairness, he's collecting the little tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald house. His latest venture is his art box. (As you can see, he posted a sign on it so no one would mistake it for garbage.) It's titled: "Austin Ort Box"....or Austin's Art Box. He carefully organized all this supplies for a macaroni necklace, each type of decoration in it's own designated spot. I love the way his little mind works, how creative and determined he is. He is always dreaming of amazing ways to make a difference in this world, and I can't wait to see what kind of miracles he will perform. What a special kid!

Taryn does the same thing! It drives me bonkers, but I think it's really creative at the same time. Every now and then the cleaning fairy comes to her room and cleans out (conveniently while she is at school!). Cute projects, Austin!
